VSL#3
The Crohn’s Crusaders are on schedule as far as the cycling is concerned but we have fallen behind with our e-news updates so we will send you a few at a time over the next few days until we catch up.
The major sponsor of the Crohn’s Crusaders project, VSL#3, arranged an amazing week in Rome for us before we began our ride.
We had a press conference on Friday which was great fun and quite interesting with the language barrier. We also met the inventor of VSL#3, Prof Claudio De Simone (VSL#3 is a probiotic formula aimed to help balance the intestinal bacteria of people who have Crohn’s and Colitis).
They also put us up in an awesome hotel for a few days so it felt like we were being rewarded far before we had even started any of the hard work!

Giro d’Italia
Coinciding with our visit to Rome was the 100th anniversary of the Giro d’Italia which finished at Colosseum for the first time ever. It was amazing to watch up close and inspired us to get out there and ride hard. We have posted a few photos here.
